A family friendly, art workshop  printing species of the Cascade Head Marine Reserve.

Gyotaku is Japanese folk art form, where you create original pieces of art printed directly from the marine species themselves.  Join the trained team of associates of artist Duncan Berry in printing the wild species of the Cascade Head Marine Reserve.   This is a 2 1/2 hour class and will be hosted upstairs at the exquisite new Pelican Brewing overlooking Siletz Bay, where the views are as beautiful as the art you'll be taking home.

When: Saturday, August 24, 2024 starting at 11:00 AM and going until 1:30 PM

Where: Pelican Brew Pub / Siletz Bay / 2nd floor.

What: Another gyotaku printing workshop in the “Natural Arts and Sciences Series” brought to you by the Cascade Head Biosphere Collaborative.  Make beautiful prints with the species of the Cascade Head Marine Reserve.

Who: The teachers for this workshop are associates of and trained by Duncan Berry, Master Gyotaku artist. Join the Cascade Head Biosphere Collaborative Team to learn this unique art form at this family friendly, affordable workshop. 

Cost: Individual ~ $75 + $25 materials. Family of Four ~ $175 + $25 materials

No prior experience needed!  This class is suited for all levels of printers from beginners to experts.

Limited to 20 persons per class.
