Get to know our local feathered friends while in community outdoors. Led by biologist and photographer Kris Cu, this program will introduce participants to the birds that are active in the evening at Queen Elizabeth Park. This time of year, the trees, skies, and bushes of QE Park are home to the spring and summer residents, many of which have traveled hundreds or thousands of kilometers for the spring migration season. Possible encounters include hummingbirds, warblers, swallows, and more! Organized by a collection of non-profits, artists, and other institutions, the Celebration is a two-week series of events to appreciate the bird species of Greater Vancouver. Upon moving to Canada, Kris completed a Biological Sciences degree from Simon Fraser University and is now the Digital Media &amp; Outreach Specialist for Birds Canada.
