L'artiste en arts visuels Camillia Buenestado Pilon, spécialisée en procédés photographiques alternatifs, vous propose de participer à un atelier d'initiation au cyanotype! Le cyanotype est un procédé photographique ancien réalisé à partir d'un négatif et au cours duquel on obtient un tirage bleu de Prusse. Cette technique a été mise au point en 1842 par le scientifique et astronome anglais John Frederick William Herschel. 

Au cours de cet atelier, vous réaliserez un triptyque de cyanotypes botaniques à partir de plantes séchées gaspésiennes préalablement sélectionnées: fleurs, plantes maritimes, etc. avec lequel vous pourrez repartir!

Les participant.e.s sont aussi invité.e.s à amener des objets texturés si désiré. Dentelles, morceaux de bois, verre taillé, etc.!

Camillia Buenestado Pilon, a visual artist living in New Carlisle and specializing in alternative photographic processes, invites you to participate in a cyanotype workshop! Cyanotype is a photographic printing process which produces blue prints. It was discovered in 1842 by scientific and astronomer John Frederick William Herschel.

During this workshop, you will make a triptych of botanical cyanotypes made from pressed and dried plants and flowers. Of course, you will be able to bring your art back home!

Participants are also invited to bring textured objects if desired. Lace, pieces of wood, cut glass, etc.!
