This Tibetan language learning book is designed to quickly integrate reading syllables from the Tibetan alphabet. Although the Tibetan language is from the Tibetan-Burmese language family, the alphabet used today comes from Sanskrit. Indeed, the most important Buddhist texts having been written or translated into Sanskrit, the Tibetans considered it imperative, for their culture strongly influenced by Buddhism, to develop their writing from Sanskrit.   

In this first volume, in addition to an introduction to the alphabet, the English-speaking neophyte will be able to find a number of commonly used words and expressions. An audio recording is also available to help the student integrate sounds and intonations by practicing the suggested exercises aloud.
