À la découverte de la rencontre du monde naturel et sacré, ce tricot d’œuvres chorales explore la sagesse profonde et la beauté sublime de la terre qui nous entoure.  À travers ce répertoire, la musique illustre les merveilles du monde terrestre et spirituel, notamment avec cet hommage à Mère Nature, Okâwîmâw Askiy, puis au son des harmonies célestes de Verdi dans Laudi alla Vergine Maria, et pieuses de Hildegard Von Bingen dans O Virtus Sapientiae.

Au cœur de ce programme, une sélection de l’œuvre Magnificat, cette expression mystérieuse de joie et de révérence de Kim André Arnesen.  Une simplicité naturelle émane des mélodies d’inspiration folk de Monarch Butterfly, puis dans un éclat de jubilation, la pièce Dancing Song, pour conclure avec I Thank You God, une expression majestueuse de la splendeur du monde.

Ensemble, ces œuvres résonnent l’echo — des rythmes de la terre, du chant sacré, et de l’esprit inspiré par l’harmonie de l’humanité.

This program explores the intersection of the sacred and the natural, weaving together choral works that reflect on wisdom, awe, and the beauty of the world around us. From the reverent homage to Mother Earth in Okâwîmâw Askiy to the celestial voices of Verdi’s Laudi alla Vergine Maria and Hildegard von Bingen’s mystical O Virtus Sapientiae, the music embraces both earthly and spiritual wonder. 

At the heart of the program, selections from Kim André Arnesen’s Magnificat resound with joy, mystery, and reverence. Earthly beauty is illustrated through Monarch Butterfly and folk-inspired melodies, culminating in the exuberance of Dancing Song and the majesty of I Thank You God.
