Who We Are
Light of Hope Mississippi is a vital community resource dedicated to empowering women as they navigate challenging life transitions. Our mission is to provide safe, supportive housing and comprehensive services, including counseling, job training, and educational opportunities. By offering these resources, we help women regain stability, independence, and self-sufficiency.
We strive to make the transition to a new life easier for women in need by offering safe housing, comfortable accommodations, and essential provisions such as food, toiletries, and clothing. Additionally, we provide transportation services so our residents can attend work, church services, life recovery meetings, court-ordered obligations, and doctor appointments. These services are essential for women seeking to rebuild their lives—both spiritually and practically.
The Problem We’re Addressing
One of the greatest challenges women recovering from addiction face is the lack of faith-based, gender-specific programs and housing. Traditional sober living facilities and treatment centers often cater more to male patients, failing to fully address the unique experiences and challenges faced by women.
For women, recovery requires a nurturing, single-sex community where they can find stability, strength, and support. Many women who come to us struggle with physical and mental health issues, legal problems, damaged relationships, and a lack of income. They need a place of safety, understanding, and faith to begin rebuilding their lives.
