Every Sunday, we conduct a Buddhist service at 12:00 PM (Noon) US Pacific Time in-person and online via Zoom. The service lasts 90 min. The participants chant the Heart Sutra and the 13 major Buddhas/Bodhisattvas mantras together and, at the end of the service, the Head Priest delivers a Dharma talk in English.
Everyone interested in Buddhist thoughts generally and/or Shingon Esoteric Buddhism particularly, including beginners, are welcome. In-person attendees are also invited to a community lunch after the service. The Head Priest used to be a chef monk at a training monastery on Mt. Koya, so he and our kitchen team provide you a vegetarian Buddhist meal.
These events are free for all, but for those who could afford it, your donation is very much appreciated as we are a small, purely self-run temple who doesn't receive any aid money from the headquarters or umbrella organizations.
