Freshman Jacqueline Hyde, the great-great granddaughter of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, starts public school for the first time, afraid her secret may come out: that she turns into a hideous monster if touched by water. She quickly learns that the students of Hallow City High are anything but “normal”, and something much more sinister is going on. Will Jacqueline be able to stop evil from spreading through her town, or will she succumb to her family’s legacy and become evil herself? Auditions simply help us to determine which role each actor best fits and will have the best experience in, We do our best to find a role that each child will be excited about, but please remember that in Stagebugz shows, there truly are no small parts.  Additionally, many factors go into casting a show, and not receiving their desired role is not a reflection of a performer's level of talent.   PerformanceA final public performance will be held on Friday, October 25th at 7 PM in the theater at Columbine United Church. Performances are open to the public and tickets will be available to reserve closer to the show. Each student will receive two complimentary tickets; additional tickets are $7 ($5 for children and seniors).  Preparing for RehearsalActors should come to rehearsal every day with a pencil, their script, plenty of water, and a snack if needed. We also recommend bringing homework, a book, or another quiet activity to stay occupied during potential down time.  Actors should wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. Please no revealing clothing or clothing with offensive, derogatory, or otherwise inappropriate language or symbols.   No weapons, props resembling weapons, or other items which could be used as or mistaken for weapons will be allowed under any circumstances. No smoking devices, drugs, or alcohol. Electronic devices should only be used for emergencies or during breaks unless prior permission has been granted. AttendanceBecause every student is vital to our productions, it is important that they are present at each rehearsal for which they are called. Families will have the opportunity to inform the directors of any pre-planned rehearsal conflicts prior to auditions so that the rehearsal schedule can be planned accordingly. Multiple unplanned absences may result in a role being reassigned so that other performers may continue rehearsing productively.  Students or parents should notify instructors as soon as possible if they are going to be late or absent.
