Topics to be discussed will include Plant Structure &amp; Function, Plant Growth &amp; Development, Plant Reproduction, and Fun Plant Signs! These topics will be taught at the introductory level to start your journey of learning about plant sciences! Educational Objectives:Participants will:- Integrate conceptually appropriate signs to match various interpreting settings.- Differentiate between fingerspelled terms and conceptually accurate signs.- Demonstrate a minimum of 4 ASL signs for fundamental plant science concepts. Presented in ASL with no interpretation.

Hello, Thank you for registering for Planting the Seed: Foundational Plant Science Concepts in ASL. We are thrilled to have Dr. Anne Logan join TWTP for our second STEM related workshop! Here is TWTP&#39;s philosophy:Please come as you are to this (and other) events hosted by The Willow Tree Project (and its co-hosts).Come in your pjs, hoodies, or whatever clothes you find comfortable, and blankets with coffee, tea, or whatever delicious beverage you want.I truly believe that you can&#39;t learn or participate to full capacity if you are uncomfortable. Day of the workshop:- We will have a waiting room and will let you 5 minutes before we start.- Please rename yourself to the name you registered with and your pronouns (should you feel comfortable doing so).- To get the best experience possible, you will need to join Zoom via a desktop or laptop. During the workshop:- Should we have group discussions, we ask to please make sure you have access to a microphone, the chat, or another form of communication that you are most comfortable with.- When you have something to contribute, please make sure you raise your hand and allow for time to spotlight you so everyone can see you.- Be prepared for hands up practice with cameras on! After the workshop:- Evaluations are due on or before May 27th, 2025 by 5pm CST.- If you requested a certificate of attendance at registration you will receive it by May 31st, 2025.
