Learn the art of Pyrography, (woodburning) in this fun hands-on class. You will learn how to design and woodburn your own coasters, cutting boards, charcuterie boards, bottle openers, and more. You will select an item that evening to complete during this 90 minute class. This class is perfect for beginners and intermediates. Instructor: Taylor Skalos Hi, my name is Taylor and I am the owner of Skalos Customs. Since I was a kid, I was always interested in creating things. My grandparents kept me hooked up with wood and tools at their house, spending my days in the garage with them building things. As I got older I was into skateboarding and BMX - so of course had to fill my parents entire driveway with my homemade ramps, rails, and boxes. I went to Fort LeBoeuf, and after high school I went to technical school for auto mechanics. Though I enjoyed working on cars, it wasn't something I wanted to make a career of. I never had an "a-ha!" moment for this business or any type of plan. In 2018, I bought a wood burner as a hobby, and it has just snowballed into what you see now. I do mostly commission/custom work to support my five unemployed cats - Kazoo, Pest, Cletus, Creepy, and Bogey. I get asked often what my favorite pieces to do are - My answer is all of them. I enjoy everything I make so long as the person receiving it is happy. Let's make something together!
