Funraise offers a free plan, but it's fairly limited compared to their paid options. The free tier includes basic tools for creating donation forms. However, each transaction on the free plan has a 3.5% platform fee plus standard payment processing costs.
Nonprofits must upgrade to a paid plan, which starts at higher rates and also carries additional charges, to unlock more fundraising features like text engagement, CRM integrations, or custom reporting.
Funraise offers three subscription plans: Light, Standard, and Premium, but pricing details are not publicly disclosed.
Funraise's transaction costs include:
Credit/Debit Cards and Digital Wallets: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, with an additional 1% for currency conversions and 1.5% for international transactions.
ACH (eChecks): 0.8% fee, capped at $25 per transaction.
Other Methods (like PayPal, crypto): Additional processing fees apply based on the provider's own rates.
Donors have the option to cover these fees. In this case, Funraise may apply an additional platform fee of up to 5%, ensuring your organisation retains the remainder.
